Im curious just what IS PeTA? is it like the RSPCA?

no, peta is a bunch of activists, "people for the ethical treatment of animals"... rspca actually shelters animals, finds them homes, ect...

WooHoo another PeTA hater! I got one in my art class, real annoying guy. Because of him people always ask me if I'm one too. I love animals and all (I'm furry for pete's sake) but I think theres a line and PeTA crosses it. But if we work togather we can defeat them!

Pit bulls are sweet! I met the sweetest pit bull the other day, his name was Samson, and he was just to happy to meet me!! My parents have a rottie, and our freinds have a 3/4 wolf. Any dog can be vicious, the only dogs I have ever been bit by in my short career in veterinary, were small dogs, especially mini pins. If you chose to have a pet, train it, keep it fed and happy and safe and warm! Treat it like a member of the family. And you will, probably, never have a problem with it being "vicious".

I love animals. I hate PETA. Go out and support your local HUMANE SOCIETY! They find food, shelter and new homes for unwanted pets! I donated during hurrican katrina to the humane society.

I totally agree, with the whole pit bull charade. But I also do know why alot of people see them the way they do, which is horrible. I know why PeTa wants too, but I think they should just make them illegal to own (Like in Miami) except to breeders. Though many people would lose out in how completely loveable the breed really is... maybe by doing something like that people who acutually care about the breed could rebuild it where people wouldn't fear them anymore. Instead of whats happening now.

Actually, they don't seem to be too keen on dogs in general...or cats, for that matter. (There was a scandal involving PETA and a kill shelter.) Wonder if they just don't like carnivores?
